The visitors thought they had opened the scoring midway through the first period as Justin Njinmah raced through one on one after a quick turnover. However, after a VAR review goal was disallowed for a foul in the build-up and Bayern could count themselves lucky.
A frustrating first half ended level as Bayern struggled to find their rhythm and create any real opportunities.
After the break the game continued in a similar fashion as Bayern dominated the ball but looked toothless in front of goal.
