According to him, aYo was the most affordable insurance policy, and that it provides unexpected financial shocks to make people’s lives better for them to enjoy quality health.

Mr. Gota said leveraging on technology to bring down cost of operating the insurance scheme, which was duly regulated by the National Insurance Commission (NIC), aYo, which focuses on the welfare of people, was targeting to cover about 20 million Ghanaians onto the scheme by the end of 2023.

He urged Ghanaians, especially all MTN network users, to subscribe to the various products to take care of themselves and their loved ones in times of incapacitation and bereavement.

The CEO further explained that one could get up to GH¢120 as hospital insurance cover, and up to GH¢6,000 as Life Insurance cover anytime one recharged for airtime.

On payment of claims, Mr. Gota said it was simple when one could dials *296# and follow the prompts, or visit app.ayo4u.com to make a claim.

He also mentioned a new product dubbed “aYo Family Insurance Cover”, which policy gives a subscriber extra Life and Hospital insurance cover for themselves and three family members.

Nana Kwasi Gyan-Apenteng, a Consultant in communication, recommended aYo Insurance Policy for all Ghanaians, especially MTN subscribers, because it was purely human-centred.
