Ashanti NDC women’s wing working committee inaugurated

Madam Gloria Hudzi, the Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has charged women to intensify their campaign to ensure that victory in this year’s election becomes a mere formality for the party.

The Women’s Organiser explained that the region still remains the decider of every election, hence the need for them to embark on a door-to-door campaign by selling the 24-hour economy and the Women’s Bank, which is to be established to support women.

The occasion was the inauguration of the Regional Women’s wing working committee in Kumasi, on Friday.

Madam Hudzi said that the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government had collapsed every sector of the economy with women being hard hit, and hence the need for them to wake-up and support the NDC and John Dramani Mahama to rescue the country.

Mr Andrews Augustus Nana Kwasi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party stated that about 80% of the monumental projects in the Ashanti region were initiated by the NDC.

According to him, elections are about development, for which the Ashanti region should compare the development under the NDC and NPP, before casting their ballots.

He indicated that the previous NDC administration was able to build the new Kejetia Terminal within four years, but the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have, for the past seven and half years, failed to complete the rest of the project.

He noted that the NDC would be declared victorious in the upcoming December 7, 2024 general elections based on its developmental projects and programmes across the length and breadth of the country.

He emphasised that Ashanti region remains the decider of the upcoming general elections and expressed the hope that the NDC will make huge strides in terms of votes.

The NDC Ashanti Regional Chairman stressed that nothing could stop the NDC from winning the general elections to continue their good works especially in the Ashanti region.

According to him, it is not only the NDC that needs change of government, but Ghanaians as a whole, and promised the voter population that NDC would do whatever it takes to protect the ballots and their votes.
