Armah Buah reshapes deplorable Asomase-Mumuni junction road

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ellembelle Constituency in the Western Region, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, has rehabilitated the once dusty and deplorable Asomase- Mumuni Junction road to the relief of commuters, most particularly cocoa farmers.

Asomase is one of the cocoa producing communities in the Ellembelle District and the road rehabilitation is mostly to help cocoa farmers in the area to transport their produce to nearby purchasing centers.

Speaking to the media, the MP for the area, who is also the Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament, accused the government of abandoning the people of Asomase Mumuni. He said since the government took office not a single kilometre of road in Nzema North had been constructed or reshaped to the benefit of the people.

The area, he indicated, produces a lot of cocoa, and since 2017 the road in the area had been in a deplorable state to date.

“The government has failed to reshape cocoa roads in the northern part of the District. As an MP, it is not my responsibility to reshape roads, but I have realised the government will not do it.”

As a result, he has to do his best to try and put the road in shape so that it could be of benefit to commuters, most especially, those in Aiyinase North where large quantities of cocoa are produced.

Mr. Armah Buah, however, used the occasion to pledge his commitment to do his best as an opposition MP to address challenges facing the good people of Asomase and other communities in Aiyinase North.

Some residents, who spoke to this reporter commended the MP for rehabilitating the road ahead of the rainy season.
