Aprakukrom community gets CHPS compound

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Dormaa West in the Bono region, Mr Francis Kwadwo Oppong, has Commissioned a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Aprakukrom community.

This newly established healthcare facility is aimed at providing primary healthcare services to the residents of Aprakukrom and the surrounding communities.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by various local dignitaries, community leaders and health officials.

The DCE emphasised the importance of accessible and quality healthcare services in improving the overall well-being of the community and applauded the efforts of the Nana Addo government and the district assembly for establishing the CHPS compound.

The CHPS compound is equipped with basic medical equipment and staffed by trained healthcare professionals, including nurses and community health officers. It will offer a range of services to the people.

The establishment of the CHPS compound at Aprakukrom is a significant development for the community as it will reduce the need for residents to travel long distances to access basic healthcare services.

The commissioning of the CHPS compound also highlights the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in rural areas.

The residents of Aprakukrom and neighbouring communities expressed their appreciation for the establishment of the CHPS compound.

They acknowledged that the facility would greatly benefit them and provide them with much-needed healthcare services closer to home.
