The Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) has announced the temporary closure of the Anyinam Bypass on the Accra–Kumasi highway to allow the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) to carry out tower relocation works along its transmission line corridor.
According to a statement issued by the Authority, the closure takes effect from Sunday, October 5 to Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
The GHA cautioned motorists and the general public to stay off the Anyinam Bypass while the works are ongoing to ensure safety. The Ghana Police Service will be on-site to assist with traffic management and maintain order throughout the exercise.
“The Authority regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appeals to the public to cooperate with the team of engineers as we work together to ensure safe and efficient travel along the Accra–Kumasi corridor,” the statement added.
