Veteran Gospel Artiste, Mrs Amy Newman is set torelease a new single titled ‘W’ewie,’ (It is finished) on Wednesday December 7.
Mrs Amy Newman told The Chronicle that “I used the story of the lost sheep in the Bible to compose the song. Like the good Shepherd, every single sheep matters to Him that is why he can keep the 99 and go in search of the lost one.”
She further added that, “I had earlier spoken about my dark days when I was suffering depression. Whilst in search of God, He was also looking for me. The song also speaks about the prodigal son. In that story, the father of the prodigal son was always looking forward to seeing his son back home. That is the kind of father God is; He is always expecting us back no matter how far we have gone.”
The high tempo song has elements of brass band and was produced by Sound Engineer, BB.
‘W’ewie’ follows her first single in 2022, ‘I’m redeemed.’ She recounted earlier; “I remember that it started somewhere in August 2019 when my husband and I marked our 40th wedding anniversary. All of a sudden, I felt empty and didn’t want to meet or talk to anyone.”
She continued, “For some strange reasons, there was this overwhelming fear that always engulfed me. I just couldn’t understand what was causing the anxiety and nervousness. Sincerely, I was at a loss but couldn’t help myself but I know I needed help.I boldly opened up about what I was going through to my children and husband and they supported me till I defeated this evil that wanted to take over my life.”
‘W’ewie’ therefore confirms God’s completion in healing her mental health, Mrs. Amy Newman ended.
