Alan Cash: this is victory for NPP

The Minister for Trade and Industry and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, says the successful organisation and election of new officers to run the affairs of the party is a big win for the elephant family.

Speaking to journalists after Saturday’s keenly contested internal elections, Alan Cash, as he is popularly called, said the much cherished victory should encourage all the party followers – from the grassroots to the top – to come together and build a winnable team for the 2024 elections. “We need every hand on board to move the party in the effort to secure victory by breaking the 8,” he said.

He charged the newly elected executives to come together and work to secure another victory for the party. He congratulated Mr Stephen Ntim, who won the Chairmanship race and Justin Frimpong Kodua, the new General Secretary, as well as the new executives for their hard-won victory.

“I encourage our new party leadership to ensure newness, attractiveness and hope in our great party and again urge for greater inclusiveness to foster true unity,” he said.

Mr Kyerematen said the new executive should quickly get to work to embrace the members who supported those who lost in the election so that “they don’t turn their disappointment into apathy. The party is bigger than all of us.It will be bad for the party if we allow the results of the election to become the reason to create disunity. We are all patriots and must remain so.”
