President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana is expected to chair the public presentation and launching of two new books on the legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, May 19, at the State House Conference Center, Abuja.
In a terse statement on Wednesday by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the president on Media and Publicity, Babagana Kingibe, the Chairman, Organizing Committee for the event, other distinguished guests expected at the book presentation include Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President-elect, and Senator Kashim Shettima, the Vice President-elect.
The books for public presentation are: “STATE OF REPAIR: HOW MUHAMMADU BUHARI TRIED TO TRANSFORM NIGERIA FOR THE BETTER” by Anthony Goldman, a former Journalist and ex Africa Editor of the Financial Times of London. Antony is a political risk and government affairs specialist with 25 years of experience working with Africa. A former journalist and Africa Editor of the Financial Times, Antony has been providing advice and business intelligence to the private sector, including industrial, extractive and technology sectors, for over a decade.
Antony holds a MA in History from Cambridge University and a MA n African Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London.
The second book is entitled: “THE LEGACY OF MUHAMMADU BUHARI” by Senator Abu Ibrahim, former representative of Southern Katsina Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
Buhari is expected to exit the seat of Power on May 29, 2023, when the incoming government will be sworn in. Senator Abu Ibrahim is a Nigerian politician who was elected Senator for the Katsina South (Funtua) Senatorial district in April 2003 on the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) platform, serving for one term until May 2007. He was re-elected to the same seat in April 2011.
Ibrahim previously worked in the federal civil service before joining politics.
