Mr. Maurice Jonas Woode, the District Chief Executive of the Akrofuom District Assembly in the Ashanti region has been honoured by the US-based International Ministerial Fellowship with the coveted Impact Icon Award.
The award was given to him by virtue of his contributions, both home and abroad, towards peace building and advocacy, philanthropic activities and services to mankind.
Bishop Harrison Arko-Amoateng, Founder and CEO of Crio Bible College last Saturday presented a citation of honour during their 17th year of ordination and orientation.
The honour was also in line with acknowledging the DCE’s tireless efforts as a peace builder, hard worker, and a philanthropist.
Receiving the citation, Mr. Woode expressed his gratitude to Bishop Arko Amoateng for the recognition of his peace building philanthropic work towards improving the standard of living as a testament to his dedication.
He was appreciative that his commitment to peace building and community development has made a lasting impact.
He emphasized the importance of peace in Ghana’s progress, noting that without peace, the country cannot move forward.
He urged every stakeholder, including politicians, traditional leaders, and the citizenry, to prioritise peace before, during and after the upcoming election on December 7.
The DCE also advised the youth to put Ghana’s interests first, reminding them that their actions and inactions would have a huge impact on the country’s future.
