A new branch office of Accurate Giant Co-operative Credit Union Limited has been opened at New Edubiase in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti Region.
The Executive Director of Giant Co-operative Credit Union Limited, Mr. Alex kwofie Hanson, charged entrepreneurs to open more businesses to absorb the teeming unemployed youth in the country.
He also said the central government was saddled with a lot of problems, and that it was time entrepreneurs went to its aid to open more businesses to help boost the economy.
Mr. Kwofie Hanson said since the establishment of his enterprise some four years ago, he had been able to employ over 130 young boys and girls, and added that he planned to employ more youth in New Edubiase so that they would be able to support themselves financially without relying on their parents for their needs.
The Adansi South District Chief Executive, Mr. Francis Ankomah, commended the Executive Director for spreading his business to the district, and said the Assembly encourages private businesses to flourish so that it could cash in to collect taxes to improve its finances.
The Edubiasehemaa, Nana Akua Dwun II, advised the staff to do honest and diligent work. She recounted instances where some employees of companies, after ‘chopping’ the entire finances of the company, clandestinely set fire to the entire establishment, and hoped such nefarious acts would not happen at the New Edubiase branch of Accurate Giant Co-operative Credit Union Limited.
