Serie A returns with a bang this weekend, with Milan and Juventus looking ahead to one of the big games on match day nine. Both sides have lost just once this season and will be out for a confidence-boosting win on Sunday evening.
Even though Milan have lost just once this season, that thumping defeat to Inter will still be raw for Pioli’s players and they will do well to finish the weekend with another three points. A close game should be expected.
Some less than impressive draws has seen the Old Lady four points below their hosts. Maxi Allegri will also be without Nicolò Fagioli, after the young midfielder accepted a plea bargain for sports betting violations.
That will disrupt the Juventus midfield as they look to concentrate on the league this season, after being banned from European football. Maxi Allegri also has a number of injury problems and may have to bring in Daniele Rugani for the injured Danilo. Dušan Vlahović could also miss out, with Moise Kean coming in as a replacement. But Federico Chiesa should be fit enough to start. Juventus have looked good in some spells this season and could give Milan a real game.
