An ultra-modern ICT Centre has been commissioned for Ofoase Primary Basic School to equip students with cutting-edge technological skills to enhance their experience in ICT and Robotics.

The benefactor, Francis Owusu-Akyaw, Member of Parliament for Juaben, also presented 50 tablets and accessories to equip the centre, christened Nana Akwasi Abugyen ICT Centre, after Nana Akwasi Abugyen II, the chief of Ofoase.

The ICT Centre, which is in fulfilment of a promise upon a request, will serve students from Ofoase Primary Basic School and neighbouring institutions, providing them with the tools and resources needed to thrive in a digital world.

Francis Owusu Akyew encouraged students to leverage the centre to expand their knowledge and skills in technology.
The MP thanked the Methodist Church, the school and community for the support and accepting that the Centre be sited at Ofoase.
He called for the maintenance of the facility to ensure that it serves the purpose for which it was provided.

Chief of Ofoase, Nana Akwasi Abugyen II, commended the MP for the honour done him.
He noted that the facility had come as a big surprise and urged the students to take their ICT lessons seriously, in order to secure their future.
The Head of Supervising and Monitoring Unit of the Municipal Education Directorate commended the community’s self-help initiative, through which the project became fruitful.
