Ghana forward Kamaldeen Sulemana scored his second goal in a row in the Italian Serie A after helping Atalanta to a 1-1 draw in Turin against Juventus.
Atalanta head coach Ivan Jurić has heaped praise on Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana following a standout performance in the team’s 1-1 draw against Juventus in Turin.
The former Southampton player not only scored a crucial goal but also delivered a complete performance, showcasing both attacking flair and defensive discipline.
Sulemana, who has been steadily growing into his role in Serie A, was instrumental in Atalanta’s result against one of Italy’s toughest opponents.
While his goal rightly drew attention, it was his off-the-ball work that truly impressed Jurić.
“I found him practically out of the squad at Southampton, but I knew he had enormous potential,” the Atalanta coach said after the match. “He has speed, technique, shooting, and tactical acumen. He needs to improve his finishing and final-yard decisions, but he’s also a great defensive player. He’s reliable in every situation, and I’m sure he’ll become increasingly decisive.”
Known for his pace and creativity, Sulemana has long been recognised as an exciting attacking prospect.
But under Jurić, he appears to be evolving into a more complete player, one who understands the tactical demands of Italian football and contributes across all phases of play.
His goal against Juventus follows a strong showing in Atalanta’s last league outing, where he recorded both a goal and an assist against Torino.
