Intatec Iconic Enterprise Petitions Police To Probe Demolition Of Buildings

Eric Nyarko, the Operations Director of Intatec Iconic Enterprise Ltd, has issued a formal statement alleging the destruction of company property on a disputed piece of land that is currently the subject of legal proceedings.

According to Mr. Nyarko, the company has held a land title certificate for the property since 2014, signifying rightful ownership.

The land has been under the company’s possession since then, with physical developments, including structures and walls, erected on the site.

“The land dispute is before the High Courts in Accra, with an injunction currently in place, restraining all parties from any development activity. We have respected the court’s ruling and halted any development activity on the land,” Mr. Nyarko stated.

Despite this, Mr. Nyarko revealed that his boss received a distress call at 1 a.m. on January 12, 2025 reporting acts of vandalism on the property.

Below is the full statement;

I, Eric Nyarko, the Operations Director of Intatec Iconic Enterprise Ltd, make this statement. At all material times, our company, through its CEOs, acquired the company along with its assets and liabilities.

The company has held a land title certificate since 2014, with rightful ownership of the land under discussion.

We have been in possession since then, as evidenced by the structures and walls we have erected, which have now been vandalised.

There is an ongoing case before the High Courts in Accra, concerning this particular land. Additionally, there is an injunction application in Accra and an injunction was granted to restrain all parties.

We have respected the court’s ruling and, consequently, halted any development activity on the land. We believed all parties adhered to the ruling, expecting the matter to be heard soon. However, my boss received a call at 1 a.m. on January 12, 2025, about the destruction of our properties at the site.

Our caretaker witnessed armed men, some in military outfits, causing unlawful damage to the property, setting fires, and stealing motorbikes and construction materials.

Many of them issued threats, allegedly backed by high authorities. We have contacted the authorities, specifically the police, to investigate the matter.

We hope they will identify those culpable and prosecute them. Although we have our suspicions, we will not speculate in the media. Instead, we will focus on pursuing justice through the courts.
