Colgate, the world’s number one oral care brand, has launched an eight-week scholarship campaign in partnership with Melcom Supermarkets to support education and reward customers across Ghana.
The nationwide campaign, running from October to December 18, 2026, seeks to transform everyday household purchases into educational opportunities for students, with a total of GH¢240,000 in scholarships and GH¢120,000 in Melcom shopping vouchers up for grabs.
Under the initiative, customers who purchase two participating Colgate products at any of Melcom’s 54 stores can nominate a student for a scholarship. Winners will be selected weekly throughout the campaign.
The initiative is anchored in Colgate’s brand promise of creating smiles that unlock a brighter future, highlighting the connection between oral health, confidence and educational opportunities. The campaign is expected to provide financial relief to beneficiary families while encouraging customers to support students’ educational aspirations through their regular shopping activities.
How to participate
Customers can participate by purchasing two of the eligible Colgate products at any Melcom store. The qualifying products are Colgate Herbal or Maximum Cavity Protection toothpaste in 140g packs and Colgate Charcoal Gentle Clean toothpaste in 120g packs.
After making a purchase, customers must scan the QR code available in-store or send “Hi” via WhatsApp to 0257483187. They can then link their Melcom receipt and nominate a student for the scholarship.
The campaign offers Colgate and Melcom an opportunity to combine consumer engagement with educational support, reinforcing the role of corporate partnerships in helping to create a brighter future for Ghanaian students.
