Dr Kelli Ducloux, an American philanthropist, has drilled and installed six boreholes for the benefit of six communities in the Ashanti Region.
The beneficiary communities are Achiase Wansanbire, Kwanfinfi (Atwima Mponua District), Akrokyere (Sekyere Kumawu District), Atasemanso Zongo (Kumasi Metropolis), Osei Yaw Adutwum Senior High School, Jachie and Sawua D/A 2 Primary (Bosomtwe District).

The boreholes form part of a vision the philanthropist had during a Michael Jackson Review Concert in February 2024 to install 50 Wells across Africa. The project, dubbed Devine Intervention Borehole projects, is part of the humanitarian initiatives across multiple countries with the hope of providing families with sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water.
Aside the provision of the boreholes, Dr. Ducloux is convinced that “when people build wealth, they gain the ability to build a better world”. Dr. Kelli Ducloux, having accepted the challenge, constructed the first of such Wells for the Achiase Wansanbire DA Basic School, commissioning it on July 19, 2024.
Then this year, Dr. Kelli Ducloux raised US$21,000 for the construction of five boreholes which were commissioned between September 14 and 24, 2026. She told The Chronicle that she is obliged to provide the remaining 44 boreholes over the next 12 years at 4 boreholes per year. The philanthropist has already raised enough funds for the next four boreholes to be commissioned next year in September.

It is not known whether Ghana will still benefit more boreholes under the Devine Intervention Borehole project, but it is certain Dr. Kelli will embark on her sixth visit to Ghana next year. She has since gone back to base in Los Angeles in Southern California.
Dr. Ducloux, 56, a teacher and author, is the founder of Wealth Builder Movement, founder and CEO of Stock Options Trading Academy and Founder of SOTA International, an NGO.
She is the author of about 40 books including “The New Psychology of Money”.
Dr. Ducloux’ mission is to help one million people to become millionaires through simple step by step processes to build wealth and inspire them to use that wealth to improve lives around the world. Since 2018, her Stock Options Trading Academy has empowered about 5,000 Black women through financial education.
Based on her signature quote “what you do Today affects seven generations into the future”, her gesture is premised on her belief of “building wealth, changing lives and creating legacy”.

Dr. Kelli Ducloux’ Ghana projects are coordinated by Madam Dawn Adwoa Sutherland, Executive Director of Bridge-To-Africa Connection, Inc., a USA non-profit organization dedicated to investing in education and health initiatives to empower children and women in Africa.
Dawn Sutherland has since relocated to Ghana and resident in Kumasi having found her roots at Jachie in the Bosomtwe District. Bridge-To-Africa Connection (BTAC) on its own has through its Circle of Friends in the diaspora championed promotion of education and infrastructural development locally.
BTAC had over the years adopted and upgraded eight schools across the Ashanti Region (including Bosomtwe, Afigya Kwabre South and Kumasi such as New Kokobriko, Feyiase, Hemang, State Experimental, and Atasemanso). which projects comprise building and renovating classroom blocks, installing toilets and libraries, providing over 1,000 desks, and sponsoring hundreds of students through Senior High school.
Other key projects and initiatives under BTAC Healthcare and Wellness programmes include the opening of the Cordelia Sutherland Clinic at Feyiase and periodic organization of free health screenings and distribution of menstrual and hygiene kits covering over 1,500 girls.
The NGO also empowers the youth and women by running daily feeding and student support programmes, offers career development and STEM programs with partners like Youth of Africa Career Development and STSI, and hosts cultural events like the Akatamanso Arts Festival.
