The Central Regional Communications Officer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gabriella Tetteh, has promised to put ordinary party members first if she is elected as the party’s Regional Vice Chairperson.

She made this known when she formally submitted her nomination forms at the regional party office in her bid to contest the position.

Her forms were received by the party’s Regional Elections Director, Dr Daniel Nartey, marking the first significant hurdle she needed to cross.

In a message to supporters shared on Facebook, she said the party’s victory in the Central Region would be won at the grassroots level and not in offices, and stressed the need for regular engagement with polling station executives, branch members, and constituency officers.

In view of this, she said, if she is elected, she would use the position to empower branch and constituency executives and rebuild the party’s ground machinery ahead of the 2028 elections.

“The grassroots are the backbone of the NDC. If we strengthen them, we strengthen the party,” she said, while thanking party members and well-wishers who have supported her journey so far.

Ms Tetteh also pledged to work closely with regional leadership and other stakeholders to promote unity and to ensure that the structures of the party in the region remain active, organised and effective.

“Together, with unity, commitment, and dedication, we move forward,” she said.
