Nicki Minaj reacts to recent killings in Nigeria

American rapper, Nicki Minaj has expressed concern over the recent killings in Plateau State, following reports by a Nigerian pastor, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, who has been highlighting attacks on Christian communities in the state.

A report by TruthNigeria, titled “Nigerian Pastor Referenced by Trump Buries Members Amid Ongoing Killings,” detailed another wave of violence in Plateau State.

According to the report, three Christians were killed in attacks on Gassa and Chit villages on September 24. Two more people were reportedly killed the following night, while five others were killed the next morning.

Reacting to the report, Minaj wrote, “Lord, if we hear from you, then we will know what to do.”

Her comment has since sparked reactions across social media, with Nigerians calling for international intervention to the recurring violence in Plateau State.

Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian rapper, singer, and songwriter. Dubbed the “Queen of Rap” and one of the most influential rappers of all time, she is noted for her dynamic rap flow, witty lyrics, musical versatility, and alter egos, and is credited as a driving force in the mainstream resurgence of female rap since the 2010s. Raised in New York City, Minaj began rapping professionally in the early 2000s and gained recognition with her three mixtapes between 2007 and 2009.
