COKA sure of emerging next Ashanti NPP Regional Chairman

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, alias COKA, the Ashanti Regional chairman hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has affirmed that he will emerge the next Regional chairman of the party.

“l am winning the polls with not less than 90 per cent of the total votes”, he told listeners of OTEC FM, during the station’s “Dwabrem” political talk show programme, hosted by Dr. Cash on Monday.

He emphasised that “Nothing will stop him from becoming the next NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman”.

The NPP Regional Executive elections are scheduled for August 8 and 9, 2026.

The road map, as announced by the General Secretary of the party Justin Frimpong Kodua, is as follows:

Nominations -July 15 to July 17, 2026;

Vetting – July 20 to July 23, 2026;

Appeals -July 24 to July 30, 2026;

Notices of poll -July 27 to July 30, 2026 and

Elections – August 8 and 9, 2026.

It is part of the party’s nationwide reorganisation, ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The regional executives election comes after Constituency elections slated for July and National Executive elections from September 18 to 20, 2026.

In a relaunch of his vision and mission to rescue NPP, Asanteman Coka, as he is widely called, said he has a dream and is ready to serve and ensure that the NPP returns to power.

He called on delegates to give him the nod, saying “It is time for the NPP to assert itself and win back power”.

The former Afigya Kwabre South NPP constituency chairman for several years, urged the youth to unite and rally behind the party to assume office and to enable it work to reverse the hardships and deceit by the current administration.

He assured that the next NPP administration will focus on creating job opportunities for the youth.

According to him, the NPP is committed to fairness and job security for the Youth and that, those whose appointments were unfairly and unlawfully terminated by the National Democratic Congress government will be restored.

Chairman COKA also promised to prioritise the construction of a multipurpose office complex for the party.

According to the five time constituency chairman of the Afigya Kwbre South, a parcel of land has been donated by a well wisher and sympathiser of the party for the construction of the proposed Regional Secretariat of the party, on assuming office as the regional chairman.

He assured that the ground will be broken for the construction of a befitting Ashanti region NPP multipurpose office complex within 100 days in office.
