Kuoro Issaka Kazie Zengeh Tenje II – Paramount chief of Lambusie Traditional Area

Kuoro Issaka Kazie Zengeh Tenje IIm, Paramount Chief of Lambusie Traditional Area in the Upper West Region, has been inducted as a new member of the National House of Chiefs. Kuoro Zengeh Tenje, 70, replaces NaaPuowelleKarbo III, the former Paramount chief of Lawra Traditional Area who passed on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

The official swearing in ceremony took place last Thursday July 2, 2026 under the auspices of Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi, the president of the House and paramount chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso Tradition Area in the Western North region of Ghana.

He swore to bear true faith and allegiance to the provisions of the Chieftaincy Act in discharging his duties as a member of the august House.

Kuoro Zengeh Tenje also swore that he would exercise judicial functions entrusted to him and do right to all manner of people in accordance with customs, laws and usages of the land.

Under the oath of secrecy, the Lambusie Paramount chief further swore that he would not directly or indirectly reveal any matter brought under his consideration in the discharge of his duties except as required or permitted by law

Her Ladyship Honourable Hannah Taylor (Mrs.), a High Court Judge administered the swearing of oath of membership, judicial oath and Oath of secrecy to the new member.

She reminded Kuoro Zengeh Tenje that responsibility of being a member of the National House of chiefs goes with other functions and encouraged him to abide by the dictates of the oaths.

Her Ladyship Taylor urged the paramount chief to treat all persons and matters that come before him without affection or ill will hoping he would abide the three oaths.
