The Founder and Leader of the Action People’s Party (APP), Mr Kenneth Nana Kwame Asamoah, has cautioned the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) against complacency in its fight against corruption.
According to him, the NDC government made Ghanaians believe that appointees of the former government looted the country without accounting to the people.
He stated that upon assuming office, the NDC initiated Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) to investigate past officials over a number of corruption allegations yet no action has been taken against any of these perceived looters since it assumed office about one and a half years ago.
He stressed that Ghanaians would be disappointed if, by next year, they see no action on the alleged corruption cases uncovered by ORAL.
The APP presidential candidate challenged the governing NDC: “If indeed the former appointees did something untoward against the nation, they should act to show Ghanaians that they are in government to reset the economy or forget about Ghanaians’ votes in the next elections.
He also advised the youth to join the APP, which he described as “the party for the youth” and the platform for those who want to become responsible adults.
