‘Looks doesn’t matter’ –Ayra Starr names what she wants in her man

Afrobeats singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has revealed that she doesn’t places much importance on looks when it comes to choosing a partner.

The ‘All The Love’ crooner explained that she is more attracted to intelligence and motivation.

Speaking in an interview with media personality Diana Eneje, Starr noted that emotional intelligence is very important in a relationship.

She said, “I don’t ever have a physical type. I am just attracted to intelligent people. Just be very intelligent. That’s the Gemini in me speaking.

“Just be intelligent, motivate me, let me also motivate you. Let’s be motivating ourselves to make money. Looks don’t really matter.”

Ayra Starr achieved mainstream international recognition in 2022 with the release of her song “Rush,” which charted in several countries, including SwitzerlandIreland, and the United Kingdom.[2] The song earned Starr a nomination for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for Best African Music Performance.

Starr’s sound has predominantly been categorized as Afropop and R&B. Her voice has been described in the media as “silky”, “cozy”, “delicate”, “sturdy”, “arresting” and “soulful”, with music critics noting the dynamic nature of her range and emotional delivery.
