The Minister for the Interior and Member of Parliament for Asawase, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has distributed desks and vocational equipment to support education and youth employment initiatives in his constituency.
The distribution exercise last week, which was targeted at improving teaching and learning conditions and expanded youth employment opportunities in Asawase, benefited several public and selected private schools.

The minister supervised the distribution of desks to schools and vocational start-up equipment to young people enrolled in his long-running Youth Employment Module, established over a decade ago, to equip young people with employable skills in the area.
A total of 137 youth beneficiaries received 105 industrial sewing machines, 30 hairdryers and makeup lights to support their training in fashion design and cosmetology.
Under the initiative, participants are attached to master craftsmen and women to receive hands-on training in various trades, including fashion design, hairdressing, carpentry, fabrication and electrical work.
Trainees are required to pass examinations supervised by the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) before qualifying to receive start-up equipment.
Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak expressed appreciation to stakeholders and the Municipal Chief Executive for Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly, Ben Abdallah Alhassan, for their continued support, noting that such collaborative efforts are essential to building a prosperous society.
