69 Boko Haram Terrorists Surrender

Sixty-nine Boko Haram terrorists and their families have been handed over to troops of the multinational joint taskforce in N’jamena, Republic of Chad.

A statement by the Chief Military Public Information Officer, HQ MNJTF, Ndjamena Chad, quoting the chief spokesperson of the MNJT, Lt. Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, on Tuesday, said the terrorists were handed over by the maritime troops of the Cameroon and Niger forces, after a successful operation along lake Chad.

Among the surrendered terrorists were 14 fighters and 55 women and children.

One of the fighters surrendered with an AK-45 rifle and live ammunition.

The statement quoting the chief spokesperson of the MNJT, Lt. Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, said the latest surrender happened between July 1 and 6 in the ongoing operation Lake Sanity 2.
