Ten-man Legon Cities hold Hearts to pulsating draw

Hearts struggle at home continued after sharing spoils with Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League match-week 15 at the Accra Sports stadium. Legon Cities looked dangerous in the early minutes of the game, piling pressure on the back line of Hearts, but none of their efforts earned them the opener.

The Phobians warmed themselves into the game in the last fifteen minutes of the first half, with some fearsome attacks. Congolese international Linda Mtange nearly registered his debut goal for the Ghanaian giants but his free-kick was denied by the post on the stroke of halftime.

In the second half, Legon Cities were reduced to ten men after Nii Gyasi Bortey was shown a straight red-card for a horrible tackle in the 49th minute of the game.

Hearts failed to find the back of the net despite the chances they created with glaring opportunities that fell to Kwadwo Obeng Junior and Gideon Asante Yeboah.

Legon City’s Michel Otou wasted the opportunity that fell for him in the additional time.
