Sabin Akrofrom Commercial center project begins

Nana Osei Kofi, Chief of Sabin Akrofrom in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region, has cut the sod for the commencement of work on the proposed Sabin Akrofrom commercial center.

The two-storey project would occupy a 16-acre land and consist of a lorry terminal, two banking halls, 192 market stalls, and 120 stores on the first floor, and 140 on the ground floor with a restaurant, police station, Fire Service Station, a conference hall, as well as 20 offices.

It is meant to enhance the socio economic growth of residents in the community.

The Chief noted that chieftaincy is about prioritising the living standards of the people through pragmatic measures and by providing sustainable jobs.

According to him, the project is meant to ensure that his people could boast of sustainable jobs through commercialisation.

He stated that his vision and mission over the last nine years as the Chief was to ensure the total development of the community with infrastructural facilities and improve the standard of education towards producing scholars and professionals to contribute their quota to develop the area in the future.

Nana Osei Kofi disclosed that the project was a property of the Stool to create a sustainable fund to assist the needy and less privileged students to be able to further their education to appreciable levels.

Nana Professor Oheneba, Otumfuo’s Hiahene, who was the Guest of Honour at the occasion, commended Nana Osei Kofi for the tremendous development he had embarked upon in the past nine years.

He said Otumfuo was aware of the good works and impressed about Nana Osei Kofi’s vision that was bringing the community into the limelight.

He underscored that the developmental infrastructures springing up in the area were overwhelming and that the Chief needed commendation for having the welfare of his people at heart.

He described the Sabin Akrofrom Chief as selfless and development-oriented.

Nana Osei Kofi has already embarked on a Circuit Court building project which is about 95% completed, a police station, Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound which is operational, and a 20-seater modern toilet facility with bath houses for both males and females in the community.
