President Hails Prof Frimpong-Boateng’s Sacrifice
The President, Nana Addo Dankwa-Akufo-Addo has commended the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng for his sacrifices in the fight against coronavirus.
In the 12th update of measures being taken by the government against the spread of coronavirus, the President singularly mentioned the gesture by the acclaimed heart surgeon.
He is said to have offered the Frimpong-Boateng Medical centre at Toase to serve as COVID-19 Treatment centre in the wake of the coronavirus.
“Such institutions deserve the sincere appreciation of the entire nation, as does the gesture of the minister for Environment, Science and Technology and Innovation, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, who has offered his 70-bed hospital in Toase in the Ashanti region as a COVID-19 treatment centre”, he mentioned, during his broadcast to the nation on sunday night.
Prof. Frimpong-Boateng is on record to have said “Ghana is not worth dying for, but it is precisely for that reason that one should die for Ghana, because that is sacrifice”.
