Prefos, 3brothers Partner To Assemble Led, Solar Street Lights In Ghana

Prefos Limited, a civil and electrical engineering contractors, also into General merchandise, supplies, import and export has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Three Brothers of Egypt, to assemble LED and Solar streetlights in Ghana.
Prefos Limited is one of the biggest electrical engineering companies in Ghana over the last 29 years of operation, whilst Three Brothers, founded in 1990, is one of the leading lighting companies all over Egypt, the MENA region and African countries, specialising in manufacturing of LED.
The partnership agreement was signed in Accra on Wednesday after a two-man delegation, comprising Mr. Reds Abdelwah Ahmed Mohammed and Madam Sadek Fakhri Akladi Eirini Meshil visited Prefos’ ultra-modern state-of-the-art factory at Adako Jachie near Kumasi last Monday, to acquaint itself with operations of the Ghanaian company.
The delegation also inspected the solar site, the company’s industrial site at Baworo and solar street lights at KNUST and the Kumasi Airport streetlight projects, as part of feasibility studies.
The proposed partnership is part of plans by Prefos Limited to commence manufacturing of various electrical products such as cables, high tension materials and security cameras to augment the local stock.
As a result, Prefos has acquired a 48-acre land at Baworo, near Ejisu, as Prefos Industrial Zone to commence the manufacturing of steel poles, Mr. Frank Agyemang, the General Manager disclosed.
He said the vision of the company is to become the most innovative and competitive electrical engineering company in Ghana and the West Africa Sub-region.
Mr. Reds Ahmed Mohammed said Three Brothers boasts of 750 workforces of engineers and workers and produces over 3,000 products, including Ever Green Energy (EGE), and hoped the partnership would inure to the benefits of all stakeholders.
A representative of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce described Prefos during the business meeting in Kumasi as the oil for the engine of growth and an electrical giant that has been consistent, reliable and a pace setter in the industry.
The ECG representative testified before the Egyptian delegation that the capacity and ability of Prefos is superfluous, having proven to be stable, reliable and ensure quality supply of electrical products and that it has the capacity to sustain standards in the lighting industry
In April 2018, Prefos Limited, one of the biggest electrical engineering companies in Ghana, over the last 29 years of operation also partnered with Le-Tehnikad.o.o of Slovenia to jointly manufacture, assemble and supply high efficiency LED Street Luminaires in the sub-region.
The partnership agreement with Le-Tehnika d.o.o. will enhance Prefos position as the sole manufacturer of LED lights in the sub-region thus making Ghana the first country in West Africa to manufacture LED Street lights.
Under the agreement Le-Tehnikad.o.o will help expand the Prefos Electrical Training Center at Adako-Jachie and equip it with modern facilities capable of producing highly skillful electrical technicians for Ghana and the sub-region.
