KRONKRON MA AWURADE! Agradaa dumps horse whisk for the Bible
The once popular fetish priestess, Nana Agradaa, who boasted of powers to multiply money for clients through her gods, has dropped her horse whisk like an uprooted cassava and taken to the holy bible.
Named Patricia Oduro Koranteng, Nana Agradaa, who has been accused of duping people under the guise of money doubling, has openly declared she no longer serves the deities, but the Almighty God.
She has found the bible and become friends with God after being released from cells, following her arrest last week, for operating television channels without authorisation.
Indeed, the cells and prisons are for reformation, as evidenced from the soberness expressed by Nana Agradaa and Akuapem Poloo after their incarceration.
Akuapem Poloo went to jail after posting a nude photograph of herself and son on social media, but is currently on bail pending the outcome of an appeal.
Nana Agradaa was also arrested after her two television stations, Thunder and Ice TV, were closed down by the National Communications Authority, but she was later granted bail.
Just after the duo gained their freedom from behind the bars, they held separate pressers where Akuapem Poloo announced she would embark on anti-nudity campaign, whilst Nana Agradaa said she was now an Evangelist.
At her press conference on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 Nana Agradaa said she had converted to Christianity and promised to visit her shrine on Thursday, April 29, 2021 with some pastors to destroy all her deities. Yesterday, she indeed destroyed what she claimed were the deities.
According to her, she will not worship her ‘sika gari’ deities anymore, adding that she does not even want to be referred to as Nana Agradaa anymore, but rather Evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng.
At the press conference, she claimed to have had an encounter with the “Lord Jesus Christ” whilst in police cells.
“As I am sitting here today, Jesus has saved me and he has changed my name from Nana Agradaa to a new name, which is Evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng,” she said.
“I will no longer work as fetish priestess again because what the Lord had done is good, he called me and he gave me salvation,” Nana Agradaa told the media.
She also apologised to the people who her actions affected negatively, whilst she was practicing as a fetish priestess.
Meanwhile, sections of the public believe her claim is a pure trick to continue her money doubling practice under the guise of Christianity.
Popular gospel musicians, Nicholas Omane Acheampong and Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review programme yesterday held the view that Nana Agradaa could not be trusted.
On the show, which was monitored by The Chronicle, other panel members shared the same position with the gospel musicians.
Some Ghanaians also hold the view that Nana Agradaa should refund the monies she duped people of, before going ahead with the supposed work of God.
Meanwhile, a group, called the Coalition of Citizens for Justice and Accountability, had asked the Inspector General of Police to halt the planned destruction of the shrine of Nana Agradaa.
According to the group, the decision to destroy her shrine was premature and a calculated attempt to destroy any possible evidence that could be adduced and used against her in court.
“We have also taken note with great concern the press conference held yesterday by Nana Agradaa in which she claimed to have repented and converted to Christianity, most importantly her announcement that she has consulted and assembled some pastors who will tomorrow, Thursday, April 29, 2021 assist her to demolish her shrine and destroy her gods.”
