MTN Ghana Foundation Supports Trokosi Girls
MTN-Ghana Foundation has supported former Trokosi girls who have graduated from the Baptist Vocational Training Center at Frankadua in the Eastern region with start-up equipment and seed capital.
The Foundation’s support to the graduates seek to enable them to begin their careers immediately after graduation.Fifteen beneficiaries graduated with certificates in Catering, Dressing Making and Hair Dressing.
MTN Ghana Foundation provided them with start-up equipment which includes Gas cylinders, Ovens, Sewing machines, Fabrics, Sewing kits, Hair dryers, washing bases, Hair relaxers, Towels, Rollers stand, Hair pomade and some seed capital.
The Head of the Baptist Vocational Training Center, Rev. Grace Akunnor commended the MTN Ghana Foundation for their support to the graduates.
According to her, because of the COVID-19, the institution could not organise the graduation ceremony for lack of funds and saw the intervention of the MTN Ghana Foundation as timely.
Mr. Stephen Asare, the MTN Area Sales Manager for Eastern and Volta regions expressed the hope that the graduates become self-reliant by employing the skills they have acquired to improve their livelihood and that of the community.He advised them not to allow their past to deter them from succeeding in life.Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Pinterest
