Adventists, Muslims worship together at new Edubiase
The New Edubiase Central Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Leadership of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission last weekend worshipped at the Church’s auditorium to strengthen religious tolerance in the area and the surrounding communities.
The church service was dubbed: “Adventist Muslim Relation”, an initiative of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church to enhance socio-economic development and to also strengthen the relationship between the two religions, with the ultimate goal of spreading the good message of God.
Each of the Muslim congregant was given a gospel track as a souvenir to mark occasion.Pastor SK Yeboah of the New Edubiase SDA Central District explained that, the initiative was part of activities to mark the 50thAnniversary celebration of the SDA in the New Edubiase District.
He expressed the need for religious tolerance to ensure the total development of the people through mutual relationship.
Pastor Yeboah disclosed that, though both religions have different beliefs, the ultimate goal of the initiative is to spread the gospel to ensure that they all inherit the kingdom of God.
Sheikh Ishak Agyiri, the leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission recounted how the Seventh Day Adventist Church has been generous towards them and mentioned occasional surprise visits by the Adventists during their recent Ramadan and on other occasions.
