ECG donates bags of cement to Juaboso Traditional Council

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has extended a hand of help to the Juaboso Traditional Council in the Western North Region towards the building of a new Palace.

Consequently, the power company presented bags of cement to the Traditional Council at a brief ceremony.

Ing. Emmanuel Justice Ofori, Regional Manager, who led a team to present the materials, reiterated the commitment of the ECG to be part of the developmental process of its customers, as well as encourage communities which exhibit friendly attitudes towards its employees and installations.

The Omanhene of Juaboso, Nana Ehwi Armah II, on his part, appreciated the fact that the ECG had made Juaboso one of its choices of location to build a bulk supply point which served most parts of the Western North Region.

In a related development, the ECG is informing Ghanaians that as a result of the upward review of electricity tariffs for the first quarter from February 1 as announced by the Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC), it has catalogued all unit consumption and the expected cost in what it described as ‘Reckoner” which clearly explains how the tariff is applied and billed.

Individual customer tariff percentage, according to the power company, would depend on customer classification and consumption category.

“The Reckoner will be displayed at all our district and customer service centers nationwide to guide customers on their electricity purchases.”

In a statement, the ECG assured customers and stakeholders of its commitment to ensuring a smooth implementation of the new tariff.
