Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited and MultiChoice Ghana have launched an automated interbank direct debit scheme.  The DStv – Zenith Bank Direct Debit Scheme is supported by the Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement System (GhIPSS) and has been designed to provide all DStv and DStv mobile subscribers nationwide, as well as customers and non customers of the Bank, with an option to pay their DStv monthly subscription directly from their account on a monthly basis,

Mr. Oscar Mensah, Operations Manager of MultiChoice Ghana (standing in for the General Manager), noted that the overall objective of the scheme came from the commitment of MultiChoice and Zenith to ensure subscribers enjoy uninterrupted service in a convenient manner.

Mr. Daniel Asiedu, Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited affirmed that speed, efficiency, flexibility and the use of modern technology form the core of the Bank’s strategy.

Thus the Bank is determined to continue to provide value to all its customers and the general public at large through innovative product collaborations such as this one with MultiChoice.

The DStv – Zenith Bank Direct Debit Scheme will ensure subscribers enjoy uninterrupted service in a convenient manner and also eliminate the monthly visits by subscribers to Multichoice offices and other payment points.

The scheme ensures that the subscribers account will be debited monthly and payment made to Multichoice Ghana. This amount will immediately reflect on the DStv payment monitoring system and the subscribers account will be credited.

Whenever there is an upward adjustment in subscription fees, this will be communicated and Zenith Bank will also make the changes prior to the subscribers approval.

Oscar Mensah concluded by saying that Multichoice Ghana will continue to research, develop and launch innovative services that will make the DStv experience one of the most convenient in the country.

To sign on to the DStv – Zenith Bank Direct Debit Scheme, subscribers are required to complete mandate forms at the MultiChoice office and all Zenith Bank branches.
