You are a failure –Asa ‘B’ tells MP

From David Allan Paintsil, Mankessim

The former Minister of Information, Stephen Asamoah Boateng (alias Asa ‘B’) has launched a blistering attack on the Deputy Minister of Central Region, Thomas Aquinas Tawiah Quansah, describing him as a failure to the people of the ancient coastal city.

Mr. Quansah is also the NDC Member of Parliament for (MP) Mfansteman West constituency in the Central Region, a seat he captured from his accuser, Asa ‘B’, from the opposition NPP.

According to the former minister, the incumbent MP has done too little to improve on the lives of the people he is representing in the country’s legislature as developmental projects in the area has ceased.

According to him, the MP has failed to make progress in projects he left off, such as road construction, provision of potable water and electricity to various communities in the constituency.

Mr. Boateng made this observation when he officially launched his political campaign to contest the seat he once occupied, last Saturday at Mankessim. He promised to provide a visionary leadership and build a new market complex for his constituents when voted into power.

He said the NPP would provide better conditions of service to teachers to enable them give off their best to school children, who are going to benefit from the free education.

The former minister told the teeming crowd that the NDC could not construct the Mankessim-Abura Dunkwa Highway as they promised, disclosing that they only constructed two kilometres of the road to deceive people, because of the upcoming elections.

Lawyer Kwaku Paintsil, a leading member of NPP at Mankessim, said he has worked with Akufo-Addo before and that the NPP leader has good intentions for the country, and urged Ghanaians to vote for him. He was optimistic that the NPP would win the December elections.

The NPP Central Regional Organiser, Agyei Baffour said NPP would implement policies that would alleviate poverty among Ghanaians when voted into power, as it was done during the administration of John Agyekum Kufuor.

The MP for Assin North, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, who stirred the crowd on his arrival, appealed to the people to vote for Asamoah Boateng and Nana Addo to bring back hope to Ghanaians, who he said were suffering from the NDCs bad policies.

He further urged Ghanaians to vote the NDC out since they do not deserve a second term.
