Volunteers For Mahama launched in Kumasi

From Ernest Best Anane, Kumasi

Volunteers For Mahama (VFM), a vibrant youth wing of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has launched a campaign machinery to enable it canvass more votes for His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to win the upcoming general elections hands down.

Mr. Prince Eduidem Acorlor, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of VFM, explained at the launch that the aim of the Volunteers was to canvass for more votes for the President, to help the NDC retain power in the general elections, in order to be able to pursue the Better Ghana Agenda.

According to him, considering the limited time left for the elections, the volunteers would take it upon themselves to embark on effective campaign programmes for the President, by adopting house-to-house, door-to-door and face-to-face campaigns at the market places to sell the message of the good works done under the able leadership of John Mahama’s government and the NDC to the electorate.

“We know this elections will not be like the last elections where we went on the first, second and the third round before the Electoral Commission (EC) was able to declare the winner,” he noted, and emphasised that John Mahama would win the elections in a “one touch” victory.

He was convinced that a presidential candidate with the caliber of John Mahama, a peace loving person who preaches peace, deserved the mandate of the people to help sustain peace in Ghana
