Volta Zoomlion intensifies Vector Control activities

The Vector Control Unit of the Volta Region branch of Zoomlion Ghana Limited has intensified its activities to ensure that the breeding grounds of mosquitoes are totally destroyed, as well as to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Addressing the media after a vigorous spraying exercise of open places at Adidome, in the Central Tongu District, the Volta Regional Officer of the Vector Control Unit of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Mr. Richard Atipoe, explained that a thorough study of how mosquitoes breed had shown that open places remained hidden places for mosquitoes, thereby the regular spraying of open places that had grown weeds.

The Volta Regional Officer assured the people of the region that his outfit would continue to render quality services that would go a long way to reduce the breeding of mosquitoes that would reduce the incidences of the malaria disease.

Mr. Atipoe said Zoomlion would intensify its activities on education to create the needed awareness to ensure that the people would appreciate the need to keep the environment clean at all times, which would help prevent the breeding of mosquitoes in the region.

He stressed that it was very important for all to cooperate with the management and staff of the Zoomlion in their efforts to keep the environment clean, because environmental cleanliness ought to be seen as a collective responsibility, and support Zoomlion to keep the environment clean.
