To this end, the financial intermediary is providing a credit facility of GH¢350,000 to the institute to complete the extension of a building to house part of the administration, while a portion will be given to the bank to convert its agency, currently on the GIMPA campus, into a fully-fledged branch.
UniBank is presently the only financial institution that operates on the GIMPA campus, offering tailored-made products and services to students and workers.
The partnership was described by Professor Agyemang Badu, Rector of GIMPA, who initialed for the institute, as a win-win situation, saying it would go a long way, not only to enhance their relationship, but also grow the two institutions, and make them profitable.
He noted that GIMPA would create a business atmosphere that will make it appealing to all and sundry, adding that the partnership would strengthen its business agenda.
Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, Managing Director of UniBank, who initialed for his outfit, commended GIMPA for its outstanding work, adding that it was always a great opportunity to partner an institution like GIMPA.
He expressed hope that the project would be completed on time, saying it would continue to provide products and services that will meet the continuing demand of the institute and its population.
“This is a memorable relationship that will go a long way to grow the two bodies. We believe it will be profitable to all of us.”
Continuing, he said UniBank was not relenting in its efforts, as it was going to pursue vigorous banking activities to remain among the top banks in the country.
He therefore, urged GIMPA and the student population to continuing doing business with UniBank to enhance the relationship.
