Finally, it has been confirmed to us that Rhian Benson, the adorable songstress mostly remembered for her hit “Say How I Feel,” which broke her into the Top 10 of the US R&B charts, and Top 30 in the UK National charts, along with many other accolades, is due to give her fans in Ghana a Christmas treat!
Schedueled to take place is a highly anticipated pre-launch of her new album, ‘Hands Clean’, at the plush Citizen Kofi Hollywood Center on Thursday December 30.
Rhian’s showcase appearance at Citizen Kofi is deemed a blessing in disguise for her Ghanaian fans, since ‘Hands Clean’ is due to be released on Valentine’s Day 2011 in the UK. She will perform a collection of her new songs, supported by a four-piece band.
The main program, hosted by Merqury of Atlantis 87.9FM, will be tailed by an exclusive after party at Club Kofi, which features Dj Black of Joy FM.
The MOBO award winner for best Jazz Act back in 2005, also marks her return to Ghana with a debonair appearance at Melcom Plus for a press conference, album signing and photo sessions on Wednesday December 29, an event that will .bring together all prominent media houses, Rhian Bensons’ fans, and major industry players.
Rhian has diligently and lovingly cooked up the ingredients for her new album titled ‘Hands Clean’, which has been described as confessional tales of life. She also joined forces with production duo, Daniel Fridell and Jonas Rendbo, to produce this bold album.
In a personal message to fans she noted, “I experienced great change in my life since writing my first album, so when I began writing ‘Hands Clean’, all I wanted to do, was create a sound that in some way, captured that state of flux.”
