The Premier League Board – PLB – says a new date would be confirmed for the premiership’s first round final matches when the suspension on the league is lifted.
All 16 sides in the Glo Premier League were to wrap up the first round fixtures on Sunday, 12 December 2010, but would now wait for a new date after all football related activities in the country were suspended following Tuesday’s raid by the Economic and Organised Crime Office at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association.
PLB Chairman, Welbeck Abra-Appiah says they would announce a new date when they return to office and the suspension on the league is lifted.
“We can only fix a new date when we return to the office which has remained closed since Tuesday.
“But once all issues are cleared for the opening of the office and the Executive Committee lifts the suspension, we can then go ahead and have the matches played. “We have a busy calender but we would have to try and work within it,” Abra-Appiah said.
The Executive Committee of the FA endorsed the Resolution of the Ghana League Clubs Association to suspend all football related activities in Ghana until the Economic and Organised Crime Office completes its investigations into activities of the GFA. FA
