NPP parliamentary aspirant launches campaign
The Parliamentary aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Suaman Constituency, Mr Kwabena Boahen Phillip has launched his political campaign at Dadieso, to kick-start the electioneering season.
The event was graced by some party big wigs such as Isaac Osei, MP for Subin, Kwabena Okyere-Darko Mensah, MP for Takoradi, Madam Kate Gyamfua, Dep. National Women’s Organizer and Nana Owusu Ankomah, Western Regional Chairman of the NPP.
The guest speaker for the event was Isaac Osei, MP for Subin and member of the National campaign team.
Addressing hundreds of enthusiastic supporters who attended the launch, Hon. Isaac Osei noted that the NPP’s main objective for winning power was to improve on the living standards of the people through a process of transformation.
He said an Akufo-Addo-government would ensure that the people have Free SHS education, improved health services and the restoration of the collapsed National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
He assured the large gathering that employment generation through processing would be a key plank of the NPP programme.
Mr. Osei described the parliamentary aspirant, who is popularly known as Daddiel, as a young, intelligent and hardworking person.
He assured them that ‘Daddiel’ would be a good servant and, therefore, urged them to tell his story to those who could not attend the rally.
On his part, the MP for Takoradi told the people that Free SHS was so important that it was the NPP’s key policy in its manifesto, which was ready for implementation, once voted into office.
Also addressing the gathering was Kate Gyamfua. According to her, it was very important for people to vote the NPP to power to enable them restore the free maternal care they were enjoying, when the party was in power.
To this end, she urged them to get to the front line of campaign to ensure victory for Nana Akufo-Addo and Daddiel.
Mr. Kwabena Boahen Phillip on his part said the NPP would ensure that cocoa inputs were made available to farmers instead of the present situation where fertilizers and chemicals go across the border to Cote d’Ivoire and other neighboring countries with authorities in power showing no concern.
