Negotiate curves with care -MTTU urges

Even though roads are constructed for easy transportation of goods and services, drivers especially, must also take the necessary precaution to preserve their lives and that of others.

This is because drivers who ply the Alajo underpass have been involved in a series of accidents which are preventable.

The underpass has a sharp curve leads vehicles, especially cargo trucks into accidents. Latest of these accidents involved a cargo vehicle that run-off the road when negotiating the curve, injuring a woman and her daughter.

The long vehicle was carrying a consignment of Latex Foam to Kumasi, according to Cop. Moses Otchere of the Motor Traffic Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service.

The driver and his mate also were seriously injured, but immediately rushed to the hospital.

The officer told the file that the curve had become an accident spot, and urged drivers to take extra care when negotiating that particular section of the road.
