NDC serial caller further exposes Yaw Gyan

From Michael Boateng, Sunyani
A Sunyani-based renowned serial caller, Gilbert Nondo, popularly called “Gilbert,” says the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) wants to make an issue out of the secret tape of the National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan, because they had no campaign message for the electorate.
In a boastful manner, Gilbert stated on a Sunyani-based Space FM political talk show programme “Hot Point” at the weekend, that Ghanaians should ignore the cheap propaganda of the NPP, and give the NDC another chance to fulfill the Better Ghana Agenda.
Gilbert accused a studio panel member of the NPP, Apraku Tuffour, of trying to incriminate the National Organiser and the Municipal Chief Executive of Sunyani, Kwasi Oppong Ababio, just for political gain, which, according to him, had failed.
He said there was no need for National Security to invite Mr. Boateng Gyan and Kwasi Oppong Ababio for questioning, as demanded by the NPP, because the meeting was purely between NDC party security personnel and the National Organiser.
According to Gilbert, he was tasked to take charge of some of the men who were detailed to the Brong-Ahafo Region to undertake serious investigations on the newly-formed National Democratic Party (NDP).
“I was in charge of their accommodation and feeding, and above all, they submitted the report of the work they did to me to be taken to Accra, which I did. You should leave Yaw Boateng Gyan and Kwasi Oppong Ababio and come for me, because I was responsible for their well-being during their stay in the region,” Gilbert boldly stated.
When the host of the programme, Nana Kyei Adoma Samuel (Nana KAS), probed further, Gilbert emphasised that they were NDC security personnel who were tasked to investigate the activities of the NDP in the region.
Gilbert Nondo bragged that he was ready to answer every question in relation to the security personnel detailed to the region and their activities, because, as a political party, the NDC needs information about all other parties to position itself well for the elections.
He continued that the NPP communication team members were making an issue out of the secret tape, because they were scared of the research team of the ruling NDC.
The boastful comments by Gilbert raised concerns within the Sunyani Municipality and beyond, with a section of the public calling on the Police CID to pick him for questioning for admitting that he was the person responsible for providing accommodation, food and transport for private security personnel of NDC to investigate the activities of another political party.
According to the members of the public who called in to the programme, Gilbert should be arrested for questioning, because recently, the acting Brong-Ahafo Regional Chairman of the NDP, Mr. Kofi Venyo, reported to the police that some unidentified thugs had been coming to his residence, for which the police have detailed personnel to patrol the area.
