MP Throws Party For Agogo Hospital Patients

By Issah Alhassan

THE MEMBER of Parliament for the Asante Akyem North constituency, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang was last week Thursday joined by some colleague MPs to celebrate his birthday with patients of the Children’s Ward of the Agogo Hospital.
About 65 patients were treated to sumptuous meals and drinks amidst other forms of merriness to mark the birthday celebration of the new Member of Parliament for the constituency.
Hon. Baah Agyemang, who has personally adopted the Children’s ward, also made a cash donation of $1,000.00 to the management of the hospital towards the upkeep of the ward.
Speaking at the Birthday party, Hon. Agyemang said he was motivated to assist the ward when his daughter was admitted at the ward last year and promised to adopt the ward and develop it to an international standard when he wins the election.
He noted that children are integral part of the family and must, therefore, be shown love and compassion in their difficult times.
“I wanted them to feel that they’ve not been left out of the social life, even though they are sick and bed-ridden,” he noted.
Hon. Agyemang was supported by colleague Members of Parliament, including Hon. Asante Boateng, Asante Akyem South MP, Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwa, Manhyia North MP and NPP constituency executive of Asante Akyem North.
