MOHINANI GROUP PICKS CLUB 100 AWARDS

The Mohinani Group of companies, formally the Poly Group of companies was honored with two awards for the third time for outstanding   performance of its subsidiaries- Poly Kraft and Polytanks in 2011, at the 2011 Ghana Club 100 Awards ceremony held recently by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).

Polykraft Ghana was ranked 89 and Polytank was also ranked 93 on the Ghana club 100 ranking table.

Established in 1966, the Mohinani group has for nearly 46 years been a leader in the plastic and packaging industries in the country.

The Plastics and Paper packaging industry is flooded with lots of companies today because of a carefully charted leadership that has raised the industry’s contribution to the growth of the Ghanaian economy.

As the economy experienced the dynamics of the changing times, so did the Group as it grew from strength to strength, evolving with the changing requirements of the country’s markets.

Over this period, the management of the Group invested heavily, both in machinery and human capacity rebuilding to remain on top of the market and led the way for others to follow.

It is not surprising, therefore, that the Mohinani Group is today one of the largest business houses in the country and beyond the borders, into neighbouring Markets.

Indeed the Group, which comprised of distinct companies with different lines of activities, is arguably amongst the leading packaging companies in the country. These are Poly Products, Poly Sacks, Poly Tanks, Poly Kraft, Somotex (Ghana), KFC, Somovision ltd, among others.

The Group believes in Good Human Resources practices and development of Manpower is key to success.
