By Fatima Adam

After the just ended Miss Club Tourism which was held in September, the Crown princess, Miss Esinam Awunyo, a twenty- three year old 2012 graduate of the University of Ghana (UG), has been presented with a Hyundai EON.

The presentation, which was done over the weekend, is to assist the princess to fully carry out her job as a promoter of tourism within the length and breadth of the country.

The car, according to the Director of Operations of Miss Tourism Ghana, Delphine Brew Hammond, was a contribution from their main sponsors; Accra Brewery Limited.

Mrs. Hammond stated that it is necessary for them to do the presentation at the Ministry of tourism as she said the ministry is like an umbrella to them.

“The minister, Akua Sena Dansua has been very helpful to us, she advices the queen on how to make good use of their titles.”

In an interview with the princess, she disclosed that her love for nature and quest to help people was what moved her to participate in the said pageant.

According to her, many Ghanaians are ignorant of the domestic tourist sites and being a princess, she believes with adverts and education, she would make all the tourist sites a talk of town. She added, “if we work well on all the tourist sites, it can increase our economy.”

The Minister of Tourism, Akua Sena Dansua advised the princess to make good use of her position and avoid all intimidation from males.
