Midland to deplore 300 ATMs, 5,000 POS devices

Midland Savings &Loans Company Limited, the leader in Ghana’s microfinance sector has disclosed that it would add up four more branches this year to it existing branches to further bring banking services to its numerous customers across the country.
The management of the company also revealed that by the close of this year 300 Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and 5,000 point of sale (POS) devices would be deplored to boost operations of the leading microfinance firm.
The Managing Director Midland Savings &Loans Company Limited, Mr Michael Adjovu made these known at the 2nd quarter Mobile Banking Executives (MBEs) award ceremony in Accra, yesterday.
He explained: “With the introduction of the POS and ATM devices customers can now have access to money in 24 hours of the day, and seven days in a week”.
These devices will instill discipline in the system, while the POS devices will increase mobilization of cash for the company, Mr Adjovu stated.
Midland Savings &Loans Company Limited which gives grants, and loans to small medium scale enterprises (SMEs) including petty traders/hawkers, large corporate organizations, government institutions & agencies, and churches says the purpose of the MBEs’ quarterly award is to recognize their contributions to the organization through their weekly performances.
The Midland’s MD added: “In other words this is to motivate and encourage them to continue to work harder, while upholding the core values of organization, which include integrity, respect, loyalty, and trusting in God”.
The Chief Technology Officer of the company, Mr Epaphras Duodu assured the 10 MBE awardees that the company would soon introduce new gadgets to make their work very easy.
The Branch Managers of Midland including the Mallam Atta Branch Manager, Mrs Leona Bediako-Adu who spoke at the short but impressive award ceremony entreated the award winning MBEs not to rest on their oars but to keep the good works of mobilizing and recovering more money for the company.
The President of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour who presented the awards including undisclosed amount of money and certificate each to the 10 awardees urged them to further work hard to promote the company and its products to all segment of the Ghanaian society.
Instructively, Midland offers a variety of well developed products. These include: business/commercial; individual; farmer-Based Loans; susu savings ; savings; students ;current; Anidaso Investment; Midland Kids accounts; Midland Logistics/Work-and –Pay Taxi; and advisory Services.
