Melcom Care Foundation, a wing of the Melcom Group of Companies, has donated 400 boxes of fruit juice, 400 trousers, 300 teddy bears, biscuits and a medical refrigerator to 37 Military Hospital.
The gifts were given to the hospital to support their end of year children’s party.
Melcom Foundation donated another medical fridge to the Police Hospital and a table top fridge to the Police Affairs Directorate.
The Melcom Communications Director, Mr. Godwin Avenorbgo, handing over the items in Accra yesterday, said the medical refrigerators would help with the storage of blood.
“I need to emphasise that both Military and Police hospitals, and other hospitals, have already received medical refrigerators in our last year’s Melcom end of year donations, hence, today’s donations are additional,” he added.
He also hoped the donation would enable the 37 Military Hospital to organise a Christmas party for about 400 children.
