Mechanized water for three communities

Madamfo-Ghana EV Foundation, a German Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) which concerns itself with the provision of quality drinking water, places of convenience and classrooms to the rural communities in Ghana, has provided mechanised pipe borne water at the cost of GH¢98.000 for three communities in the Bosome-Freho District of the Ashanti Region.

The beneficiary communities are Dompa, Hantase and Banso in the Lake District.

The NGO has also provided a 10-seater KVIP at the cost of GH¢22,000 for the people of Appantubuom, also in the district.

The Director of the foundation, Landgraph Bettina, also called Nana Anim Korkor by the people of the area, said the project was sponsored by Wolfgan Mozart of Germany, and commended Mr. Edward Ofori Kuragu, Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, for his tremendous efforts and support to the organisation and making the dream come to reality.

Miss Landgraph Bettina, by dint of her efforts to bring development to the area, has been installed the Nkosuohemaa of Apawu.

Mr. Dominic Kyei, Assembly Member for the Apawu electoral area, lauded the foundation for helping to improve the lives of the residents, and appealed for the construction of a KVIP, and the introduction of the School Feeding programme for the Esaase and Hantase communities, and a teachers’ bungalow for Banso.
