by Dora Akyaa Asare

In unique way to demonstrate gratitude for their and humanitarian services to the country, the ForYou Export Company Limited presented ten computers to the La District Police Command over the weekend, to help them technically in their duties.

Presenting the items to the La District Police Command, the Chief Executive Officer of ForYou Export Company Limited, Mrs. Hye-Sook Jang, noted that the gesture formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to enhance the activities of the police.

She explained that some years back, one of her employee stole 104 computers from her warehouse at the Trade Fair Site, and her lawyer directed her to the La District Police Command for assistance.

According to her, when she got to the police station she asked for the Commander in charge of the place.

She was later directed to the District Commander, DSP Wilson Nkrumah Kudze.

She noted: “The Commander then referred me to one investigator called Detective Sergeant Pascal Ampomasu Agyei to handle my case. The case was sent to court, during the period the investigator never took any money from me, all along I thought the police always take bribe, but in my case, the police never took a penny from me.”

“After winning the case in court, I decided to support the police technically, through the help of Detective Sergeant Pascal,” she noted.

On his part, the La District Police Commander, who took the items on behalf of the La District Police Command, expressed his gratitude to the company, and further urged all corporate institutions to learn from the kind gesture and help the Police Service.
